The Conad digital ecosystem


Conad is a leader in the transformation of the Italian large retail sector and is moving towards an omnichannel model, capable of integrating the characteristics of channelling, through a multiplicity of distribution channels that adapt to their local areas and people’s specific needs with the potential of digitisation and new technologies.

In this way, an ecosystem of products and services is made available to customers in line with the evolution of their needs and purchasing habits. Physical stores and digital platforms intertwine and combine together to offer customers maximum freedom to interact with their store as and when they want, while at the same time creating new points for relations and contact. 

Increasingly integrated and comprehensive shopping experiences, to serve every customer in a customised manner, without sacrificing Conad’s typical quality and value for money.

The Conad omnichannel strategy


Conad’s strategic agenda includes digitisation as a fundamental pillar in its programme to seize market opportunities and innovations and consolidate the brand’s leadership, laying the foundations for the future.

The investment plan – with an envisaged expenditure of almost 2 billion euros for the 2023-2025 three-year period – allocated a part of this amount in 2023 to digitisation with the aim of building an ongoing relationship with customers also through digital touchpoints, part of a broader ecosystem, capable of offering an increasingly simpler and more comprehensive purchasing experience. 

Contact opportunities are evolving and changing, but Conad’s willingness to create customised and loyal relationships with its customers is still a mainstay of every business project.

A world that goes beyond and supplements in-store shopping, following a strategy that in the coming years will see the service component become increasingly relevant to ensure growth and development for the entrepreneurial Members and for the entire system as a whole.

HeyConad, a digital platform that serves customers


The HeyConad App, launched in 2022, is the spearhead of Conad’s omnichannel offering: a platform that adapts to customer needs and provides online shopping together with an ever-increasing number of “beyond the basket” services on their smartphones.

In 2023 the brand launched HeyConad Viaggi and, thanks to the partnership with the Welcome Travel Group, a leading company in the tourism sector, it offers a customised and comprehensive travel experience thanks to the support throughout Italy from the network’s travel agencies, with the aim of enhancing the value of Italy’s heritage assets consisting of food and wine, well-being, adventures and the outstanding beauty of its landscapes.

The app is also the tool for promoting greater awareness about purchases and forms of behaviour in the field of customer sustainability. Furthermore, it will be further enriched during 2024 with new services in the fields of health and well-being, pet care, financial and insurance services and mobility.

The many services offered by HeyConad united by a minimum common denominator: attention to the needs of each individual customer and the commitment to offering customised, effective and practical responses. Even through its digital relationship channel, Conad remains faithful to its payoff: Persone oltre le cose.
